Sonali Bendre Spends A Leisurely Sunday In The Company Of Hrithik Roshan-Sussanne Khan
Sonali Bendre is inspiring us with her each post. The actress who’s on a short break from her chemo sessions, spent her Sunday in the company of her hubby, child and close pals, Hrithik Roshan-Sussanne Khan
Sonali Bendre is
back to India and has been utilising every moment of her short break (the
actress is battling with cancer and spent several months in New York receiving
treatment). Post her return to India, she even did a commercial that she shared
on social media.
Now, she has
posted another update of how her Sunday is going. Sharing a group picture with
husband Goldie Behl, their son and Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne Khan, Sonali wrote,
“Sunday to Sunday... there’s a lot that can happen in just 7 days! From a
wedding celebration, to a required course of hospitalisation and treatment to a
leisurely lunch with friends that are family... you have to let go to
experience the many shades of life! #Thankful #MyNewNormal #OneDayAtATime
#SwitchOnTheSunshine”
Recently, at
India Today Conclave, Sonali spoke about her cancer journey. “Everyone said,
'Your lifestyle was never like that. How did it happen to you?' I actually
thought that it was me doing something wrong and that I have caused it. I
actually went to a psychiatrist in New York because I was like, 'I don't
understand what is happening to me. I'm not a negative person, I have a lot of
positive thoughts. Am I being delusional and sweeping under the carpet? Do I
actually have negative thoughts and I am burying it so deep in my sub
conscience that I don't realise it?' I needed to understand what was happening
to me. The line that he said is the hoarding for me in my life. The line that he
said is the hoarding for me in my life. He said, 'Sonali, cancer is caused by
genetics or virus. If thoughts could cause or cure cancer, I would be the
richest man on this earth because I deal with thoughts.' It was like a weight
was lifted off," ajeev Masand, the actress had opened up on her cancer journey.
She said, "I didn’t want to go to New York. It was my husband who wanted
to go. And I fought with him all through the flight. ‘Why are you doing this?
We have good doctors here. Why are you taking me away?’ My home, my life... in
three days, we literally just packed and left and, I don’t know, what was
happening. I was like let’s, at least, speak to the doctors here and he was
just quiet through the whole thing and focussed. In the day, he was organising
and, in the night, as New York was wake; so he was organising, so day and
night-he was at that. So I got him and actually cribbed about the whole thing,
on the flight. Through the flight, I have cribbed; I was really venting.”
Well, the actress
is quite a motivation for those battling with the dreaded disease.
